Finding new trails

One of the things I love most about running is getting lost. When you follow a new path, try to keep some sense of direction in your head and just go where your instinct tells you to. Yesterday I had one of these runs. I didn't plan for it, and I didn't think I'd be out for long. I was even a bit thirsty when I started my run, but didn't mind it, since I was only going for a short run.

Rule number one these days, is to always bring a bag in case you run into some chanterelles. I found these during the first 15 minutes, and so I ran back home and left the bag outside the door and headed back out again.

Can you see the trail? I can't ;-)

And when I didn't have to carry my heavy bag of chanterelles, I started following a new trail which of course dissapeared every now and then.

Had some trouble finding my way through this swamp...

People had apparently been running there before. I saw quite a few of these old way markings of different kinds (red, blue, yellow and striped).

And eventually I found it! That hidden place full of "Svart trumpetsvamp" (Craterellus cornucopioides)!

And since I didn't bring two bags for chanterelles or other strange findings, I have to go back there again today <3

Right outside the door...

The Inov-8 TerraClaw 220 — just perfect on these trails!

My run turned out to be a little over 10k, and I was out for 1:30 including the stops for taking pictures, picking chanterelles and trying to figure out how the hell I was going to find my way back to all the "Svart trumpetsvamp"!
